Pastoral Staff
Rev. Peter & Evelyn Tembo, Interim Senior Pastor
The Tembos came on staff at Englewood A/G in November 2005. Both Peter and Evelyn grew up in Harare, Zimbabwe Africa. There Peter served first as the Youth Pastor and then the Associate Pastor at Upper Room Ministries. He graduated with a Ministerial Diploma from Pentecostal Bible School, now known as Pan African Theological Bible School in Harare. He and Evelyn also did some studies with Rhema Bible School. Pastor Tembo served Englewood A/G as the Associate Pastor, ministering especially in the areas of pastoral care, prayer ministry, and missions. Evelyn is a gifted speaker and is currently serving as an administrative secretary to the Permanent Ambassador of Zimbabwe to The United Nations in New York City. The Tembos have four children, Alma, Peter, Joseph,and Alora.
Rev. Issac & Dr. Susan Cherian, Interim Associate Pastor
Rev. Isaac and Dr. Susan Cherian started attending Englewood AG from November 2005. They serve as the Missions directors and Susan served as the Sunday school Superintendent. The Cherians worked with Mark and Huldah Buntain, in Calcutta, India for 14 years, pastoring one of the eight congregations. Pastor Cherian served as the Senior Pastor of Bethel AG, Mt. Vernon. Currently serves as the Director of AG Bible Institute–English Dept. at Nyack. Pastor Cherian has a Bachelors Degree in Economics, Masters Degree in Theology and a Ph. D in Missions & Evangelism. Susan is a health care provider for children and an eloquent speaker. Susan will be completing her theological studies soon. They have two children - Steven and Stanley.
